During the year ended June 30, 2006, 303 WorkSource clients were hired by 173 employers. Approximately 87% of these employers hired WorkSource clients for at least two consecutive years. WorkSource employment specialists (job coaches) work with clients to determine job skills and interests, to develop interviewing techniques, and to help plan and conduct the job search. After a client begins work, the placement specialist assists in the on-the-job training and maintains contact with the client and his or her employer for as long as is necessary. |
